Newport Beach California Temple

On Sunday January 3rd, 2010 we drove down to Newport Beach, California and attended church at the Stake Center next to the temple. We were disappointed to find the temple gates locked up, but soon learned that the temple parking lot is used for overflow parking and would be opened shortly. In fact one lady Jarod spoke to said "I'll go get my son to unlock it!"
After church we walked over to enjoy the grounds and the beautiful pink temple!

Gotta touch the temple (as well as the water!)

Jakob went the extra mile and unintentionally stepped into the fountain after losing his balance on the wall! He was so embarrassed (and a little upset) but was soon persuaded to look on the bright side and realize what a funny story it would be to tell folks back home.

Then we gave him something to REALLY be embarrassed about and had the girls kiss him while posing for pictures. Too cute.
It was such a blessing to visit the temple and I'm so grateful that the children know what special places they are.
