Anna sings "I Can Read Colors"

Here's another song from preschool. Anna gets to learn some sign language - this song includes signs for colors and some of the items. We included subtitles, hope they help. We still think there maybe something wrong with Anna's hearing, which may be causing some of her speech delay. Speech delay or not, she is adorable.

Yes, we let the kids play in the street

The neighbor down the street was draining their pool and the kids couldn't have been happier about it. A couple of styrofoam boats, a rubber ducky, ladle and a water filled gutter is all it takes to keep our kids happy! If I had only got a good photo of Emma before she disappeared around the corner of Houston and Burke on her styrofoam raft. We're gonna miss that girl :)

Jakob is a Cub Scout

Jakob is jumping into Cub Scouts with both feet, he really loves it. He got to go to his first pack meeting/ day camp on August 2nd and even got to act in a starring role in one of the skits.

We've been having a lot of fun working on the requirements in his book. It's kind of funny that I don't remember scouting being as much fun as Jakob gets out of it mpw. Hopefully we can find a way to keep him excited about it!

Anna's First Primary Talk

Anna spoke in primary today and did a fantastic job. Unfortunately Anna's speaking voice wasn't massively loud but Sara says she nailed everyword even though I couldn't hear any of it from the front row where I was wrestling our 10 Sunbeams.
Great job ANNA! (The video is take two at home...)
In the last part of the talk Anna says "Heavenly Father knows all of my words".

Jakob and Jarod's Moovie

Jakob and I had a blast putting together this video about Jakob's favorite joke. We made it in July in our preblog era, just thought I'd put it up now...Stop animation is fun if not a little monotonous.

Anna Sings "Buddy My Beagle"

Anna learned this song in preschool to help her with B sounds and 1 to 1 correspondence. If you're having trouble with the tune, think "Here we go 'round the mulberry bush, mulberry bush..."

The words to this version are:

Buddy my beagle barks at me, barks at me, barks at me.

Buddy my beagle barks at me, when I bounce my ball.

This is the first song we've ever heard Anna sing and we're very happy to hear her sing it. Enjoy!

Guess that 9 month old!

A:

B.

C.

The answers will be posted at a later date... ahh, the suspense is already starting to build...and yes, we have had the same high chair for 8 years!

Emma's "Crawling"

Emma is finally starting to do some scooting around. We're not always sure how she does it but she seems to end up all the way across the room (or wherever else she may want to be) in a relative hurry.
We've grown accustomed to not worrying about what little toys and 'bits' are on the ground but with her increased mobility and penchant for chewing said 'bits', it's time to toddler proof the house again.
